Earlier on December 21, 2022, Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) removed floor prices for 169 scrips — mainly mutual funds and small-cap stocks by allowing these scrips to decline by a maximum of 1% in a day.

In a recent directive published on March 01, 2023 with immediate effect, the regulator has imposed floor price on these 169 scrips again such as floor price of the scrips shall be determined as per order dated 28 July 2022 or at the average of the closing market price of such security from February 26, 2023 to March 01, 2023 whichever is lower.
